Over the weekend I trekked into Manchester with two friends in the midst of a tempest, all in the name of shopping. I am beginning to seriously consider seeing a therapist for my shopaholic-like tenancies. Perhaps I should start introducing myself to people with, "Hi, I'm Sarah, and I have a compulsive shopping addiction."

We came across this rather impressive looking wall filled with graffiti of iconic photographs of Twiggy and Audrey Hepburn; isn't it just the epitome of awesomeness?! As you might be able to guess from these photos, I wanted to channel my inner angsty teen, complete with varies badges, lashings of velvet, and I multitude of skulls. Oh, and you might have already spotted my creepers making their d├ębut- I cannot stress enough how much I love them!

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you will probably know by now that I am utterly and completely head-over-heels in love with velvet. I usually wont travel far without one of my trusty velvet skirts or my velvet dolly shoes in tow. In fact, you're more or less guaranteed to see my adorned in the fabric. I adore the entire aesthetic of it; and how it requires so little effort yet still looks incredibly fabulous and always exudes such a grungy vibe. Maybe velvet is another thing that I should check into a rehabilitation clinic for. That being said, if I went to rehab for every single one of my obsessions (and no, I am not implying that I am addicted to drugs or alcohol. When I said obsessions, I was thinking more along the lines of Alex Turner or "Clueless"), then I'd probably spend my entire life confined to a small white room with padded walls. I seem to be attaining an ever-growing list of obsessions; but I wont bore you all by listing every single one of them.

I hope you're all having a lovely day, despite that fact that it's Monday (boo).

Hugs and kisses, Sarah xo

Miscellaneous Ramblings

I haven't done a post in a while due to my recent incredibly tedious exams; but they finally ended today so hopefully I'll be able to get back into the swing of things as soon as possible. It's such a relief to finally (and temporarily before my external exams, oh the dread!) have my life back, as I've been overloaded with masses of revision and art coursework to do over the past few weeks. I'm extremely glad to finally be able to put my feet up and relax. To celebrate this momentous occasion, all I've done this evening since my return from school is lounge around watching Bevis and Butthead and eat chocolate cereal. It's such a hard life! At least I know my health will be perfectly in check...

I thought I'd share with you a few photos of some things I received for my birthday because quite frankly, there's no denying that they look absolutely adorable (and the soap smells just as good as it looks!). Although,  I must admit I am quite nervous about using the Paul & Joe blusher stick. Knowing me and how terribly inept I am, I'd probably end up snapping off its little ears and top hat. I suppose it's probably more for ornamental purposes as opposed to putting it to practical use.

Oh, and on another completely irrelevant note, my creepers finally arrived in the post last week. At long last I decided to jump on the band wagon (I'm a little slow, I know, but I'm adamant that it's the best decision I've made so far), but they're definitely my newest obsession, so prepare yourself for an overdose of them in my future outfit posts. If I could, I'd probably refuse to take them off my feet, even when retiring to bed. But then again, that wouldn't be the most hygienic thing to do, would it? It's funny, and maybe slightly worrying how I become so attached to inanimate objects.

Anyway, enough of my nonsense ramblings.

Running Wild

Top: H&M
Skirt: gifted (Urban Outfitters)
Shoes: Converse All Star
Necklace: Forever 21
Ring: Gogo Phillip

Once again, apologies for the infrequent posts during this past week. My computer abruptly decided to malfunction a few days ago, and I have had masses of revision to do for some upcoming exams; so I haven't been able to gain access to the computer up until now.

Since my previous post I have become one year wiser. I celebrated my birthday last week, so now I am officially fifteen years old. I had formerly somehow managed to convince myself that I was already no longer fourteen, so actually turning fifteen seemed quite surreal to me, if that makes any sense whatsoever. I had been yearning for this skirt from Urban Outfitters for quite a substantial amount of time after seeing it in their SS12 lookbook, so I was overjoyed to receive it as a gift from one of my best friends. She definitely knows me well! I think I'll definitely be getting plenty of wear out of it; especially as I have recently developed quite an infatuation for midi skirts and dresses. I particularly love the grungy cross print of this one; isn't it a thing of beauty?

I'm sorry that this post is rather hurried- I promise I'll be back on track with my blog as soon as my exams are out of the way. Oh, and I'd just like to say a quick thank you and hello to all of my newest followers; as well as people who have supported my blog and given me shoutouts during the past few weeks. It means an awful lot to me that you have all acknowledged my blog and enjoyed reading my posts. I have been overwhelmed by your kindness and thoughtful comments, as well as being lucky enough to be featured on Chictopia's home page a few days ago. I hope you all had a lovely Easter and are enjoying your day!

Hugs and kisses, Sarah xo

I apologise for my absence and the recent neglect of my blog; however I have a valid reason for this, as over the past week I have been in Russia on a trip with my school. We visited Moscow and St. Petersburg; and despite the bitter weather, the experience was definitely something that I'll never forget. Both respective cities were extraordinarily beautiful in their individual ways. I had a fantastic time doing varies activities such as bartering on the markets; travelling from Moscow to St. Petersburg on the rickety overnight train; visiting the famous Red Square at night; and exploring the iconic Kremlin and multiple palaces. Since my return I have been suffering from a combination of an appalling case of post-Russia depression and the remnants of jet lag, but don't worry; I wont bore you all with my sob story.

Long before my trip to Russia I had been lusting after one of Topshop's grey speckled t-shirt dresses; however I was overjoyed to find an exact duplicate in Primark for a mere £10. Since I purchased it it has become a staple in my wardrobe- I'd even go as far as saying that I've practically been living in it. It's quite rare for me to wear the same garment numerous times within the space of a month; but I have to say that this dress broke all of my usual habits. It's certainly a winner in my book! It's ideal for layering and can be worn during pretty much any season. I love its minimalism and simplicity which make it look so effortless; not to mention the mid-length hemline.

I hope you're all having a glorious Easter Sunday! I've already consumed too much chocolate for my belly to handle. Hopefully you all attain much more wisdom that I do!

Style Crush: Alice Dellal

Model, socialite, it-girl and self-confessed lover of punk, Alice Dellal has captured the attention of many courtesy of her cutting-edge personal style. Her adoration for all things grunge along with her signature partially shaved head (copied by many, pulled off by few) are just two of the key ingredients to perfectly exuding an effortlessly edgy vibe. Alice's look is undoubtedly the epitome of perfection; and if you don't yet believe me, just take a look below for some sure-fire evidence.
