Pink to Make the Boys Wink

Jacket: Missguided // Top: Urban Outfitters // Dress: Forever 21 // Necklace: ASOS // Boots: Koi Couture

Lately I've been obsessed with layering dresses or cami tops with tees and long sleeves, giving me a major sartorial throwback to my childhood. When the weather has been deceptively cold despite a rare appearance from the sun this has been my go-to for uni, and it means that my summer wardrobe doesn't go unnoticed during these chillier months. I'd like to experiment with shorter sleeves and cami tops as well as dresses, so watch this space for more adventures in layering.

As I write this I am bundled up in bed on my fourth day of a cold with a throat that feels like it's been attacked by a cheese grater, feeling far less glam than the photos in this post. We decided to shoot photos in Notting Hill, and I couldn't resist using this pastel pink house as my backdrop (also, new life goal realised: to eventually live in a pink house). After all, when in Rome. If you're pining for summer as much as me I hope that these photos inject a little sunshine into your day.

Shoutout to All My Single Gals

Dress: Outrageous Fortune via ASOS // Shoes: ASOS // Earrings: ASOS // Necklace: Kate Spade

I recently purchased this dress without even thinking of Valentine's Day on the horizon, but then realised that perhaps it was the result of subliminal advertising brainwashing me to covet clothes that are exclusively red or pink. At first I was sickened, but then I realised that this dress could be the perfect "treat yo self" purchase as an act of self-love in all of my singledom. If you need me on February 14th you will probably catch me wearing this outfit to celebrate Galentine's/Palentine's, either sitting in my living room eating Ben and Jerry's, or in a cocktail bar somewhere with my friends having a cathartic rant about men. To be honest, I can't think of anything more perfect. How will you be spending the holiday?

Yet Another Pair of Culottes and the Most On-Brand Tee I'll Ever Wear

Jacket: Zara // Tee: Weekday // Culottes: New Look // Beret: Pretty Little Thing // Earrings: Primark // Necklace: Kate Spade// Trainers: Adidas Superstar

By this point it's no secret that culottes have long been a staple in my wardrobe. I just can't resist a pair of trousers that a) feel as though I'm wearing pyjamas, and b) allow me to hide a multitude of sins after eating my bodyweight in pizza, which is precisely what I did on this day at Pizza Pilgrims in Shoreditch. If you ever find a pair of trousers that fit these criteria you should stock up in every single colour, because who said you can have too much of a good thing? I call bullshit.

I'm not particularly one for wearing my heart on my sleeve, so alternatively why not wear a t-shirt with "EMOTIONAL" emblazoned across the front? I personally can't think of a better way for warning the world that I'm having a bad day or PMSing, so I guess this top is my new code for saying "please don't talk to me". It's perhaps the most on-brand item of clothing I'll ever wear. Ever since they opened up a store on Regent Street Weekday have been my current go-to for witty slogan tees. Every week they release a new design for their Zeitgeist range and, quite honestly, it's ruining my wallet. On the plus side they are super affordable so if you've yet to pay the store a visit I highly recommend you do so.

Flare To The Throne

Coat: New Look // T-shirt: Weekday // Flares: Nasty Gal // Boots: Koi Couture

Some of you may have been wondering if I'd dropped off the face of the earth, and others may not have noticed my absence at all, but allow me to reintroduce myself.

A lot has changed since I started blogging over six years ago: people are no longer rocking the infamous disco pants, Jeffrey Campbell Litas are a relic of the past, and the term "blogosphere" is now loaded with totally different meaning. When I started my blog I was only fourteen years old, so of course my own style has also evolved massively along with the shifting tides of the digital scene. During my blogging hiatus I entered my third year studying English at King's College London, where up until recently I was also the fashion and beauty editor for The Tab King's. I had so much fun in this role but unfortunately had to put it on the back burner a few months ago due to the increasing workload of university. Not having a side-project to work on suddenly felt strange to me. I felt unfulfilled and like I no longer had an outlet for my creativity, so reviving this little space of the internet seemed like the natural step to take. So hello, welcome! I am back and I can't wait to share my outfits and innermost thoughts with you all.

Anyway, onto the outfit. I first spotted these trousers on Amy from The Little Magpie and fell in love. I've never been one for flared trousers so purchasing them required a bit of adventurous spirit on my part, but as soon as they arrived I could not believe how flattering they are. I'm a relatively tall girl but annoyingly my legs aren't the longest and I've had to purchase petite trousers in the past, so these beauties create the illusion of supermodel legs while the stripes imitate an hourglass figure. Obsessed. The trousers only retail at £15 on Nasty Gal so be sure to snatch them up quick before they sell out! If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed that this fur coat has been getting a lot of air time, but I don't intend to stop any time soon. It's kept me warm and snuggly through the winter months and accompanied me on a freezing cold trip to Amsterdam, giving me squirrel vibes along the way. To be honest, that's a look I want to wear every single day.

I hope you are all well and haven't missed me too much. Do let me know if there is anything specific you want to see from my content in the comments below or over on my Instagram. Until next time!
